The Wonder of the Ancient

I have to admit now, at the age of 28, the fact that I was a bicho ignorante operando o sistema of historical facts. The stupid end user.

I was in awe with the belief systems I was brought in and ignored the systems more sophisticated available throughout the world. The Buddha was talking about the meaning of life and came to a very good conclusion 2500 years ago. In Europe, Socrates and Plato did the same centuries before the foundation of Christianity. Science was making a head-on progress and has major accomplishments thousands of years ago.

I am now in awe again. Not to any beliefs or philosophical systems but to how ignorant I was.

I am reading the history of the earliest European philosophers, several names that I don't know of and Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. The minds of the people are amazing. They have speculating about evolution 2500 years back, they have correctly estimated the solar eclipse, they have talk about human mind, human soul and many other things that some of us can be understood through some divine intervention.

How great are the inquiring human minds?

I shouldn't ignore it like I did in the ignorant times.
